1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide on this site

Our quote-request quiz asks two short questions before pointing you to our partner's site: whether you own the property, and what kind of project you're working on. We do not ask for or collect your name, postal address, email address or phone number on HauseNow's own site.

If you choose to continue to our partner's site to check your options, any further information you give there — including your name, contact details and ZIP code — is collected and used by that partner directly, under its own privacy policy, not by us.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the site we may automatically collect technical information, including IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies described in section 4.

2. How we use your information

2.1 Providing the service

The core purpose is straightforward: we use your answers to point you to the right partner for the project you described, so you can check your options and request quotes.

2.2 Communication

We do not collect a phone number or email address on this site, so we do not call, text or “robo-dial” you ourselves as part of the quote-request flow. If you contact us directly by email (for example at privacy@hausenow.com), we use your email to respond. When you click through to check your options, our partner's site may collect your contact details directly and — with any consent given there — reach out about your project by email, phone or text message, including with an automatic telephone dialling system or pre-recorded messages, under its own privacy policy and consent practices.

2.3 Improving the service

We analyze usage patterns to understand which parts of the site work, to fix problems, to test changes and to improve the quality of the matches we make.

2.4 Marketing and advertising

We may use your information to measure the performance of our advertising, to build audiences for future campaigns, and to send marketing communications about home improvement services where you have not opted out.

2.5 Legal compliance

We use and retain information as needed to comply with applicable law, to enforce our terms, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to protect the rights and safety of HauseNow, our users and the public.

3. How we share your information

3.1 Sending you to our partner

When you choose to check your options, we send you to our partner's site to continue your request. Any information you provided in our on-site quiz (such as your project type) does not automatically travel with you — anything the partner collects, it collects directly from you on its own site, under its own privacy policy. Our partner is an independent business, not something we control. The current partner list is available on our Partners page.

3.2 Service providers

We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf — hosting, analytics, and customer support tooling. They are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.

3.3 Advertising and analytics partners

We work with advertising and analytics providers who may set cookies or similar technologies and receive information about your interaction with the site in order to measure and target advertising.

3.4 Business transfers

If HauseNow is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to notify you where required.

3.5 Legal requirements

We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or is necessary to investigate potential violations, fraud or threats to safety.

We do not sell your information to parties unrelated to the home improvement services you requested.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

4.1 Types of cookies we use

• Strictly necessary — required for the site to function, such as remembering where you are in a quote form.
• Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
• Advertising — used to measure campaign performance and to show relevant ads.

4.2 Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may break parts of the site — quote forms in particular. Mobile operating systems also provide controls for limiting advertising identifiers.

6. Your privacy rights and choices

6.1 Marketing emails

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email privacy@hausenow.com and ask to be removed. Service-related messages about a request you have already submitted may still be sent.

6.2 Phone and text messages

We do not call or text you ourselves. If you're contacted by phone or text after checking your options on our partner's site, reply STOP to any text message to stop texts from that sender, or ask any caller to add you to their internal do-not-call list — you'll need to opt out with that partner or contractor directly, since we don't control their outreach.

6.3 Access, correction and deletion

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@hausenow.com and we will verify your identity before acting on the request. Some information may be retained where we have a legal obligation or a legitimate business reason to keep it.

6.4 Do Not Track

Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, and our site does not currently respond to them.

7. Data security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on the systems that hold personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — typically for the duration of the project inquiry and a reasonable period afterwards — and for as long as required to meet legal, accounting, dispute-resolution and consent-record obligations. Records of consent to be contacted are retained for at least the period required by applicable law.

9. Children's privacy

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@hausenow.com and we will delete it.

10. Third-party websites and services

The site may link to websites we do not operate, including contractor and partner sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read the privacy policy of any site you visit from here.

11. California residents

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. 12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated more prominently where required by law. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

13. International users

HauseNow operates in the United States and the service is intended for United States residents. If you access the site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your country.
